Girl's night out is a time for the girls to have fun, with no pressure --just fun! You get the whole studio to yourself for $280 for up to 8 girls for 1 hours ($35/ additional girl). You can learn a pole dance routine or lap dance, or both. We have two dressing rooms and bathroom. We close all the blinds--and what happens in the studio stays in the studio! Additional half hour for $80 and $10/person.
Who can come to classes?
Fun Pole Fitness classes are open to all women (age 18 and over), of all sizes, shapes and fitness levels. Classes are taught so that everyone is successful, no matter what your fitness level.
Am I too old or young?
Women of any age over 18 are welcome. Our classes are full of camaraderie and encouragement between the women, you will feel welcome no matter what your age.
What should I wear to classes?
Beginners may prefer to wear workout or yoga pants until you're ready to do more advanced moves. For advanced classes it is best to wear workout shorts and t-shirt or tank top, as skin contact (arms and legs) with the pole is needed.
What about shoes?
Beginners may prefer barefoot, but eventually you will be wearing platform heels--the platform heels are part of the FUN! We now have shoes you can rent for $5--free for first class, and then you can buy a pair from us! What are the rules?
Please pre-pay for class by going to our online scheduling site and prepaying and pre-registering (click here for link). Please give 24 hours notice when cancelling, or you will be charged.
All students must complete a liability waiver. Our insurance requires this.
Please do not apply moisturizer, oil, lotion or tanning lotion to your hands, arms or legs on the morning of class. Please wash your hands when you first arrive at the studio.
Please remove rings, bracelets and watches. They impair your grip and scratch the poles!
How many women per class?
All pole fitness classes will have a maximum of 10 women per class, so that everyone gets her own pole for the entire class! Other classes will be capped at 16 women per class, so that we have enough equipment for everyone.
How many poles do you have in the studio?
At our studio we will have 11 poles--10 for students and one for the instructor. And only 10 students per class--so you get your own pole for the whole class!
What group fitness and pole dancing qualifications do you have ?
Marie Davidson is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer (since February 2004), and has current CPR certification. She is also certified as a Pole Dance Instructor by Pole Position Fitness in Long Beach, CA (www.PolePositionFitness.com). All other instructors hold certifications in group fitness and/or pole dance and CPR. Fun Pole Fitness offers pole dance classes powered by Pole Position Fitness, Inc. Pole Position Fitness is the only nationally accredited pole dancing program approved by both the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and the American Council on Exercise. This program incorporates the fitness safety and alignment guidelines set forth by the American College of Sports Medicine. By incorporating these guidelines into all of our classes, we help our participants prevent bruises and unnecessary shoulder and elbow injuries commonly experienced in pole dancing.
Is it safe?
All classes are taught according to ACSM guidelines for safe fitness classes, with a warm-up, cool down and stretch. If anything hurts, let your instructor know immediately. You will probably be a little sore after the first few classes, but as you work your arms and core in pole dancing, you will be amazed how much stronger you feel all day long!
Where is the studio located?
Fun Pole Fitness is at 2828 University Avenue #105 in the North Park area of San Diego (North-West corner at Utah). There is lots of street parking, and we also have parking in the back (Utah side of building)--call 858-232-4047 to have us open the gate for you.

Everyone gets their own pole, so you do need to prepay and sign up to save your pole, and you must cancel 24-hours before class starts or you will be charged. We do this so that we can let someone else use the pole we’re holding for you. You are always welcome to call at the last minute and see if any poles are free.
